FL-Xied-10 and check enging light is on
I have a 2012 super glide and I installed the FL-Xied-10 on my bike.
After installing it I started the bike with no problems.
The check engine light is on all the time.
Did I do something wrong installing it?
The bike runs great so I have no clue whats going on.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks for looking.

Don't worry about it. That is normal with xieds. The engine monitor is picking up the extra fuel being injected and being a computer, it just knows something is wrong. The monitor light goes out as you increase riding speed and comes back on at idle. No problem. Isn't it great having a computer that knows more than you and insists on telling you all the time?? I pay no attention to any light except the oil pressure and the charging lights. In the wind.

I think they go too far with the bias that they use on the Xieds. To get down to the AFR they do they need to take the bias to over 800mV. This is beyond the recommended limits for narrowband O2 sensors, especially as they get older. This shifts the sensors into an operating region they are not sensitive in.
This means that not only aren't the sensors going to be working very well, it also causes the ECU to throw codes because it thinks the sensors are faulty.
I think a better option is to use their FL-VIED-10, which is their variable version. Then not set them to the max setting.
