Stree Bob front wheel ??
Thanks to construction on I-90 in South Dakota I have to replace the front wheel on my '06 Street Bob. Their insurance would not pay saying it was not the construction companies fault. Anyway I am looking a buying a new rim (19 inch on it now), may go to a 21 inch but not sure if that is a good idea what are your thoughts. Also since I am doing all of this what would be the largest (fat) time I could put on with out changing on the bike other then the new rim? Thanks I look forward to your ideas and suggestions. Terry
Check this out https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...nd-spokes.html and if you want to keep your 19 I have a rim I will be selling from my 2011 street bob pm me
Thanks Crimson13 for that post, if in fact I go to a 21 inch rim that is good to know. Is that your bike on the post with 160's on the front, nice. What is the advantage if any to go to a 21 inch rim? Is there a disadvantage? Also I am looking for a fatter tire on front but I do not want to change anything else to make it happen. I am not in a rush in fact more then likely will do over the winter. Thanks for any replies. Terry
Bob, If I decide to stay with stock front I will be interested in the 19 inch rim you have if it is chrome. Can anyone tell me what the largest or tire I can put on the front of my 2006 street bob that would not require any changes except the rim. No changes to front fender or brakes. Also if any what changes would it do to performance. Thanks Terry
Why not go mad, and put a 200 on the front will need to change triple trees but makes for great look. Handling is surprisingly good, I have had to put 36psi in the front to get a nice round profile.
