Question Street Bob Mini Apes on a 2008 Superglide?

Can anyone tell me what is involved, if anything with installing street bob mini apes on a (2008) superglide? Does any of the cabling/wiring need lengthened? Pics would be great to if anyone has already made the swap.

Thanks

I put them on my 07 FXD. I bought some used stock take off FXDB bars, and stock FXDB throttle, idle, clutch and brake cables from a forum member. I kept all my original control wires for the swap and just pulled the slack out of the backbone.

Get a manual, a friend to keep you company/help/lift the motorcycle off the top of you, should you drop it on yourself (just kidding... Sort of), and make sure you take your time and do it right. I you rush, you make stupid mistakes that are easily avoidable, if you just take your time.

This was one of my first mods and it took a few hours.

I got a lot of help from here on the forum, so don't be afraid to ask if you have specific questions. Also, don't be afraid to use the "search" function either! Haha!

Good luck,
Jimmy

I did this bar change to mine this past winter.

Needed a different clutch cable but not the idle or brake.

Here ya go! I personally don't care for them. I'm switching em to 5.5" pullback risers w/LowRider bars.

Let me know if one of you guys need the mini apes and cable setup. I still have my stock setup from my Street Bob before I went with my Burly kit.

I changed my 2007 FXD bars to Street Bob mini apes.
The parts listed are for a Street Bob.
Clutch Cable PN:38789-06B
Wide Glide Bars 10" PN:56079-93
Idle Cable PN:56355-96A
Throttle Cable PN:56356-96A
My existing already extended brake cable was long enough.
The existing clutch cable was also long enough, however I decided to install the new one anyway since I was going to switch fluid in my transmission.
The throttle and Idle cable had to be changed to the longer ones.
All electrical wiring had enough slack in it that I was able to pull enough out of the frame to make it work perfectly.
