Smile Highway Pegs

Hey guys, I have an 07 WG and been thinking to add highway pegs for the sake of comfort on long stretches. I feel that I need to stretch my legs all the time, i am 6'1'', so I place my heels on the foot pegs, but my toes are not supported.

I am trying to avoid an engine guard, simply because I don't like the looks and certainly the bike doesn't need the extra weight. How about mustaches, highway bars, frame mounted highway pegs any experiences?

I saw this on a 2007 WG and certainly do love the look

However, any associated problems? will it serve the purpose?

please share your experience....

your help will be much appreciated.

I had an 06 Wide Glide and tried highway pegs, but didn't like the stretch and hyper extension I felt in my knees. I went with mid pegs instead. They gave me three foot positions: on the mid peg, straddling the mid/forward pegs, and the forward pegs themselves.

I like the option of mid mount with highway pegs, as the mids allow better control of the bike, and you have a few options on feet placement.

On my sporty with FC I found that on the longer stretches, I'd put me feet on the rear pegs, and lay on the tank.

I with you, the forward controls are great, but still feel the need to stretch out more, and do not care to get highway bars. Havent hear any reviews on the mustache bars, but a friend of mine has the Kuryakyn Swingwing pegs. I only tried them out in the parking lot and they did stretch me out, just not sure how it would feel on the highway. Plus, I think they are kind of fugly.

I'm very interested in the replies here as well. I feel the need to stretch from my forward controls after a bit too and I'm only 5' 10". I don't like the highway bars either so I'm thinking just pegs to keep it small and simple. Hopefully we'll get some good input on all the choices by people our height.

after having forwards on my sporty, i was all set to put forwards when i bought my dyna. but after riding the dyna with mids, i left mids and put highway pegs. like mentioned above, mids give more control, and with the pegs up front you can stretch out. my vote, keep the mids and add pegs.

I did not want an engine guard but I feel cramped with forwards, so I got the Lindby multi bar, and have pegs on that. Problem solved.
