Cams being installed in my 2012 wideglide...
Under the advisement of the owner of Woods Cams, I am hoping this is a good combo.. Woods 888's, Thunderheader pipe, and head work along with a dyno tune and power commander. All in my 2012 wideglide with the 103.
Not going to be a rocket ship, but hoping to make it pull a bit harder through the gears.
Anyone else done a combo like this?

I don't have a combo like that but if I were going to spend that kind of dough right away I would go with something better than the power commander. I would suggest sepst or something simular that is not a piggy back unit. Good luck man! Have fun with it
Yep. Order a Power Vision instead...Not that much more from Fuel Moto...On second thought, if I was going to do all of that, I would have the Fuel Moto 107 kit done. For 2000.00, there is no better bang for the buck. I have ridden one and it was a lot quicker than my stock 103...A lot...
Sounds fast to me! I have the PV but heard some pretty nice things about the PC5. I think if you are sold on the Dyno tune, then the PC5 should be fine. Most PV users are dyno avoiders. Good luck, I think you will be very happy the way you are going.
I have the Fuel Moto 107 upgrade scheduled next month with Woods 555 cams, PCV and dyno tune. I am going from a stage I 96" on an '09 FXDC and really looking forward to it. Will update when work is complete.
For maximum power you need to go with something other than a PCV.
but if you are not trying to max out the possible power-probably maybe a few HP and TQ- difference then the PCV will serve you well but I would consider the PC vision.
I have been using PCV's of a couple of my bikes for 5 years and really like them. I do have AT on mine though. I tried em with and without the auto tune to see a difference. The AT works really good.
Head work and cams will really wake it up.
Our WG has a SS106 kit with head work and it is really strong. Got to watch the front wheel, it likes to come up really easy. No PCV on this bike, Had it dynoed instead. Wanted all I could get from it.
It is your money and your choice.

Not even close to the truth in my experience. Most PV users are tinkerers...The PV does a TON of stuff you can't do with the PC5. Don't ask me what all that is though. I just take mine in and get it dynoed

I agree with the tinkering part, that is why they want to work the tune themselves. I have probably read 80% of the 460 + pages of the PV sticky thread and I do not remember one time that a PV owner was wanting to go get a dyno done. I sure there were some but it would seem to be very rare when you read that thread.

Make sure the person doing the dyno tuned really knows what he's doing or it will be a waste. Don't use a piggyback tuner...get a reflash tuner such as TTS, SERTPRO, or PV.
If you know that's the only mods your are going to do then you can buy a license fee and use the dyno guys tuner and save a few bucks.
If the tuner is good...you will love the way the bike runs
