They look like the ones that come on a low rider or super glide, but its weird that they'd have a separate part number. It's difficult to say by looking at the pics on google of the cvo Dyna. I hope you blaze this trail because I've wondered about it forever.

From this attached parts drawing, the numbers I posted are wrong!

Two fenders are shown, and the non-bobbed fender has the tag numbers 37 and 38. I'm going back to the dealer to see if they are available in chrome.

I wonder why 37 and 38 are not listed with the other tag #'s?

I might be back to square one.

Okay. In that parts drawing there are four rear fenders and one front. The rear fender in the bottom left corner is from a Super Glide. The fender covers there are tagged with 13/31 and 14/30. The 30 and 31 is for a Super Glide and the 13 and 14 is for a Super Glide Custom.

Dave, in the parts department at Ronnie's Harley Davidson, confirmed that tags 13 and 14, corresponding part numbers 59138-06 and 59171-06, are indeed chrome.

Back to the parts drawing... If you compare the fender covers from the drawing in the lower left corner (Super Glide & Custom) to the drawing in the upper right corner (Wide Glide), those fender covers *look* identical!

Now, to talk to my local Ft Myers Harley Davidson parts department, and get them to order the Wide Glide fender covers, along with the Super Glide Custom fender covers, and allow me to return the ones I don't use with a restock or whatever fee.

Also, if you search 59138-06 on their parts page, you find these were used on many Dynas from 06 to 12. Then, they add an 'A' and they are on 2013s too.

Maybe I can take measurements and compare right in the showroom.

It looks like the Super Glide Custom fender covers are going to work.

We had a SGC and WG side by side and all measurements line up. The SGC's cover is a 1/4" wider where it meets the shock, but that's only because it makes a little cup, whereas the WG's is flush. The SGC's cover is a little snugger to the top shock cover, that's all.

I like the 2013 fender covers on the SGC too. So since I haven't seen the chrome covers on the 06-12s, I'm going with the new ones, and they're the same price. Hence the 'A' on the part number. They're very smooth with subtle lines and curves in the metal.

Let us know if it works. I bought a set of Super Glide strut covers from a guy here expecting they'd fit ... no go. The fender bolts lined up OK and the length was right, but they didn't fit with the stock Fat Bob shocks. I tried putting an extra washer or two for spacing but to get adequate space, the shock had to go out too far. Maybe a different year or different model strut cover will work.

 

The shock bolt is the same part number for the WG and SGC, so they're the same length.

Was it the cupped/dished area of the fender support causing the problem? The chrome supports have those areas and the gloss black ones don't.

If that's the case, maybe it can be cut away?

 

Parts are in for my swap. I haven't had time to tear it down and check for fitment though. )o:
