Just got back in from the garage, no way to raise the front of the gas tank due to the massive tree's on my front end.

I loosened up the back tank bolt and removed the front. All was good until I turned the bars to the stop and then tried to lift the tank. It came up maybe a 1/2" before it contacted the tree's.

When I read your reply I thought it was a good idea. I could make a tank rise kit with stuff I have laying around quicker than I could ride the 20 miles to J&P to buy one.

I think as long as the fender covers part of the tire your good. If you can see in-between the fender and tire. Thats to much

Your scoot looks great, don't touch it.

Our bikes look about the same height. I do think my bags look better now.

In this pic one of the people took while on a ride, I think the rear of my bike looked freakishly too low.

That's a great shot...love the black and white. I'm changing out the taillight and license plate holder. I currently have the cat eye light and would prefer the standard light so I can use my BAL. That will also lower the plate and hopefully make the *** end look a little less severe.

Really, your bike looks great...don't sweat it.

Getting rid of the cat eye side mount plate in that picture was something I planned on doing as soon as I bought the bike.

I love my current rear plate mount. I made it out of two L brackets I had, and added a small chrome plate frame off an old HD lay down plate mount.

I don't know how you think your bike is the same height as the other one that was posted. You can see the tread of his tire and your rim is damn near tucked under the fender. Bike looks way better in my opinion. If your rim is tucked as far as it was before and the fender isn't somewhat contoured to the rim it doesn't look right to me.

The other bike has a 16" rim, and mine has a 18" rim.

His tire is probably around 160/90/16, and mine is 180/55/18.

I was just going by the space between the bottom of the fender and the top of the swing arm.
