This is usually caused by you not snapping that big connector to the tank in properly. The big one that sits where the gas tap would be on a carby bike.
Push the chrome piece up and pull the pipe off, push the pipe back in hard and make sure the chrome piece snaps all the way down or it won't feed gas to the injectors.

The QD valve was connected. But I disconnected and reconnected and that was enough to get it going. Could have had something in there that came loose from the fuel spray when I disconnected, or it was in there just tight enough to have the sleeve hold it but not enough to be fully engaged. Who knows. I gave it a tug and it wouldn't come free. But needless to say I got it started.
That was the first thing I checked when I couldn't get it going, but since it was connected I figured it was something else. If everyone wasn't so insistent that was the issue I would have never taken another look. I would have been troubleshooting other things for the next week.
