upgrade - does it make sense
Your bike sounds fine, keep it untill YOUR ready to move on to another bike..touring,softail,dyna whatever. If you want to put a few coins into it,go for it.Nothing wrong with investing in your own bike to make it the way you want. But if you decide to get another bike let it be because YOU want one.You probably already know that, but that's why were here to ask questions and get advice. It also sounds like your friends are just busting your *****.
I have a Dyna 2005 FXDX, and I do not want a bagger. I am 65 years old also.My bike weights in at 636 pounds and I think that’s too heavy. Ride what you want and then your friends to drop dead. They think I am crazy for having the FXDX. But none of them can run the corners or out run me on the highway, but I would like the six gallon gas tank. That’s just my two cent

I have a 70 yr old riding buddy he has a deuce 96 cu.
I say why dont you get a bigger bike like bagger or ultra.
He tells me when I get old I will we ride bar hoppers deuce and mine is a dyna wide.
point is if you like your scoot keep it and just ride man no point going into debt.
