Default SE intake VS. Arlen Ness intake??

I was curious if anyone knew any hard facts or reasons one might be better than the other.... Other than the price tags, whichis about $40 at the site I found the arlen ness intake at. Any help would be appreciated. Oh yeah, It'll be going on a 07 street bob, along with exhaust and a fuel manager. Thanks

Don't get the SE air cleaner. Get the Arlen Ness. It's made by K&N filters.

Agree - my buddyinstalled the Big Suckeron his new 1200R - very nice unit! I have the SE on my Dyna, already replaced the filter w/ the K&N HD 800. Where I live, it pays to have a reusable filter - lots of dust (we use K&Ns on all our vehicles). It was obvious the SE filter was not the correct choice for my bike.

I went back and looked again at the site that I had found the arlen ness intake at, and noticed that they only go up to an 05 dyna model. I have the 07.....argh. I'm gonna go with the Arlen Ness if I can find it for an 07, with the reusable filter, and a lower price it's a no brainer. Anyonew know where to get one for my year?? Thanks for the advice guys. I didn't know that arlen ness used the K&N filter.

I bought the SE a year ago - after about 1 month the filter just started coming apart. Brought it back and basically go a "too bad" look from the HD parts guy. New filter = $40. I'd go with the Ness if I did it again.
I did read that the Ness plate has a tendency to crack if overtorqued even a little bit when installed - so pay attention to that.

I talked to a guy from Eastern Performance at the Mid-Atlantic Bike Show last weekend and he stated that the Arlen Ness Big Sucker II is an overall better design, and it uses a K&N air filter that is superior to the SE Filter.

Yeah do it right the first time, I originally got the SE with the non-chrome back plate, then when I got rid of the football cleaner cover i bought the chrome backing cover, then i was stuck with a blue airfilter, so i bought the black and white filter, finally getting the look I wanted, should have bought the Ness cleaner............You can see on the Springer below, but I basically bought all the crap twice
