I'm trying to sell a part to a gent on these forums but I want to make sure its the right part for his bike.

I am selling him chrome lower sliders for his 2013 FXDWG. The pair I have for him are listed in some places as good on 2006+ FXDWGs and in other places as good for 2006 -2008 FXDWG. Part number 46589-06B


Basicly my question is: Was there a change to the front end lowers of the FXDWG in the re-design of the Wide Glide?

If no, then this "obsolete" part will work just fine.

Thats one I would call your local dealer to ask just to be on the safe side. Glad to hear you found a buyer for those!

 

I found a German site that states this p/n fits 06-08 FXDWG models...

 

Surdyke lists that part # fits 06 and newer...

 

The part is "obsolete" which means it no longer is being listed as this part number, but that doesnt mean it wont fit. I think it is in fact the same part, just re-numbered, but Im hoping someone with some direct build experience can chime in.

New p/n is 45500066 which, according to H-D's P&A site, fits 06 to 13 FXDWG models:

So if 46589-06B and 45500066 fit '06 FXDWG, IMO 46589-06B will fit '13 FXDWG as well.

 

This was my point A to point B logic, you just can't be too careful. Thank you for the response, this one helps a lot. I have confidence selling these to a FXDWG 10+ owner now.
