Default Help bike shuts off

I ride a 07 superglide. twice i was out for a run at approx 40 mph and my bike just died. Bike stilll has power but the fuel pump would not cut in unless i pulled the max fuse for approx 30 seconds and it reset. When started the engine lite will go out and then come back on for a few seconds and then go back out again. I run se slipons xied and v and h vo2 breather.

I've read other posts similar to yours over the past few years and usually ends up being the fuel line inside the tank having a pinhole or crack. There is also a filter in there as well. Might be worth a look see.

Mine did that last week and I heard a high pitched whine/whistle ever since. I took it in to get checked out under the extended warranty and they told me it was the fuel pressure regulator. Still waiting on the regulator to come in and see if it takes care of it.

If its not in the fuel pump,
Their is a re-occurring problem with the tps-IAC calibration, 2007-2008. Common problem.
Keep us posted so we can help.
Check the fuel pump system first.

Tks agn guys, sounds like it could be the FPR. I to have been hearing the whine or whistle of late. My hearing isnt very good so I can barely hear it. Let me know how you make out there bdtaylor1979. I will do likewise.

Well talked with one of the mechs at the local dealership. He says to try one of the relays on the fuse panel. thunderstorms and heavy rain for next couple of days. Soon as it stops Ill get a test ride and post an update.
