Default Gas Mileage

I have a 2013 Fat Bob just under a month old, I don't have any mods on it, my commute to work is under 15 miles. Can take freeway or roads and same distance for the most part. I a barley getting over 20 miles to the gallon. Has anyone else had this issue. I use only 92 octane gas, I have about 450 miles on my bike.

I have a 2013 FB I just picked up about a month ago also. I have just over 500 miles on it. I do have mods like exhaust, intake and xied. I get on it pretty good when I ride it and Im averaging 41mpg.

If you're getting 20, something is definitely off.

I did a 300 mile ride Wednesday and got 50 mpg. Was interstate at 75-80 and back roads that was up and down 40 to 60. I would take it back to the dealer and get it checked.

Yea something isn't right or you're calculating it wrong. I live 9 miles from my office and it's all city and I could be lighter on the throttle but that's no fun and I get 35-40mpg. Highway I get 46-50mpg.

Unless the 103 is that bad. The new ones come with the 103 now right??

Are you running the tank down before checking your mpg.
The best accurate mpg check is doing several tanks. Just fill up keep your ticket with gallons on it, leave trip meter untouched-must be zeroed in the beginning. Then check after 2 or 3 fill ups.
A lot that that effects in your mpg. Riding style, type of fuel, weather, traffic, it is almost endless.

We had a buddy that was always bragging. He got a new bike. Every day we added some gas to it for a week. He was really excited about getting so much mileage. Then the next week we took out a 1/2 gallon or so. It was really bumbled. That is until we told him what we did.
Some one could be getting some fuel from your tank.

I've got a 2012 FXDWG 103. New it was getting around 40 mpg, then after I put 1000 miles on it, it went to 42 mpg. Now with all the mods, I'm getting 44 mpg solo, and 42 mpg 2 up. Definitely need to have it checked out

Even with all the fairings, deflectors, luggage and me on my 2009 FXDC, the worst mileage I've ever gotten
is about 38mpg in headwinds / crosswinds at 80mph. Loaded down in smooth air I get about 42-43mpg at 80.
At very high altitude with very light throttle I have actually gotten almost 60mpg running at 40-50mph
when the EFI leans the mixture out to match the lower air pressure. Runs hot under that condition, though..

I've got a 2004 FLSTC. So far, it's getting 33 mpg with me and the wife on it. We weigh about 380 pounds together. No luggage, just a windshield. That's after three tanks. Seems like it ought to do better. Had a 2005 Honda VTX 1300 that got about 42 mpg. I'm keeping the Harley though. It's the only cure for Harley fever.

Hey fellow vtx1300 rider! I went from a 2003 VTX 1300 S to my 07 dyna super glide. I usually got in the lower 40's in the city and upper 40's on the highway with the vtx. With my dyna, with the mods in my signature, I usually get around 38-39 with mostly in town. I have only had it for 3 months so I haven't go it out on a good highway run yet.

Before I put the Stage 1 on my bike, I was getting about 38 around town and usually 46 on the highway/longer trips. Now I average about 35/45, still way better than my truck at 15/20.
