Default bike upgrade ?

So i decided its time to get a bike that is bigger and more capable of two up riding. I'm currently on a nightster and pretty sure i decided on a street bob. I've seen some ok deals for used, but not too far off new. I know a benfit of used is it may already have some mods done, but who knows its history. i'm looking for opinions on if its worth buying new? are there any good changes for 13 over older models? Thanks in advance!

If a two up Dyna is what you want the Switchback would be best. The Bobs are nice too but made for a single rider.

For 2 up riding...get a wide glide....more room for you to stretch out for you and the passenger. Dont even know the wife is there half the time, unless I check (just to make sure i didnt lose her on that last set of twisties!)

I really don't see any difference in what dyna you get for 2 up. All the dyna models will handle 2up no problem. Get the model you like the best. My wife can ride all day comfortabley on my superglide

+1, they're all pretty much the same. Some may come with a solo seat but take-off two up seats can be found in the classifieds here or ebay for a good price, if $ is a concern.

Thanks all for the responses. I really like the styling of the street bob and don't ride two up real often but like the option where as now it's not (chopped fender on the nightster). I also am wanting a physically larger bike even when im solo. Now It comes down to new or used.

Get what you want, at the best price you can afford.

Couldn't agree more! With the exception of the width of the Fat Bob, they're all the same. They'll handle 2 up fine and are great for the single rider.

+1 Nubz

I have a 2013 SB that I upgraded to from a sporty and we rarely rode 2 up before hand on the sporty, now the ole lady loves riding with me! And the SB rides perfect 2 up, nice and comfy, don't even notice she's there with the 103!
