Bike looks really good! I think some chrome is good to help break things up a bit but I'm not a huge fan when people over do the chrome by adding any chrome piece they can find.

sonny, nostra and taylor, thank you for the compliments.

I agree that sometimes less really is more too. but all in the eye of the beholder no doubt.

However, I have a friend who has the same bike and he did quite a bit of chrome (including the wheels) on his and it looks awesome.

Doing this contrast thing that I'm trying accomplish can be easily over-done too. So I'm going slow. This switchback model has so many directions it can go. I've seen some really cool variations out there...some flat out outstanding. Possibilities are only marginalized by the imagination. I suppose we can say that about any model...it's just that this one seems to keep naggin at me to keep *uckin with it. LOL

Your tank looks like it's trying to take flight.

Ah, there ya are George!
I couldn't remember your exact handle here, thanks for chiming in.

Forks too?
Hmmm, funny you mention that. Back when I first bought the bike I almost did the lowers in black...sat there and stared at it and vacillated back and forth on chrome/black. Ended up going chrome as you know.
I gotta tell ya, these progressive 430's are really nice as far as performance.
Wasn't sure what I was gonna gain and I'll liken it to a Lexus as opposed to an old Cadillac. I didn't want to float like a caddy and i don't. They keep the back on the pavement as they should. Way better than stock. Those shocks coupled with the Racetech springs i put in the front work really well together. I definitely recommend them to all switchback owners.

Stay in touch bro. Good to see you posting.

I really think the SwitchBack is a great concept. You have done some great things here. If I were to put my touches on a SwitchBack I think I would install a Hoppe Batwing Fairing. I never cared for that cop style windshield. I would also install a 21" tire. It would really complement that 2" tank lift. Also some drag bars and custom hand controls. What ever you do, your bike looks bad ***.

Thank you Tramp. Yep, this model has a **** load of options and so many directions you can take it to. Your take on how you would do it sounds great. I'm not real fond of the looks of the screen either but it works function-wise for now.

The biggest downside to me was the size of the bags and the suspension was lacking. $500 later the suspension is now awesome.

The bags though? They suck and sit on a shelf. When someone offers a decent quick release version in full sized bags for this model, they will sell like hotcakes.
