Default Installing Forwards

I am looking to install Forward Controls, possibly Floorboards... What it looks as if the primary cover, inner primary cover, and starter just to install the shift linkage...

I wan't to double check this, and it seems the inner primary requires several connection to clutch as well as the starter removed... Truthfully, that kinda scares me doing that much work.

Just wanting to confirm before having my service center do the install.

You can leave the mid shift linkage in and get a cover for it, or you can cut it from the back side to keep from having to pull the inner primary.

I'm gonna cut mine off from the back with a hack saw blade.

Pulling the primary can seem like a daunting task but it really is not that hard. It was the first thing I did since I had no idea what I was getting into. The shop manual is a must if you don't already have it and there is a wealth of knowledge here on the forums. Just ask!

The biggest concern is the rear shift lever... Is the shift lever long enough to be able to get through the gears?

I know the kit includes the longer rear tranny shift arm.

When I used the HD forward control kit, it came with everything needed except for new seals, oil, and the right tools.

I put on the Raider 2"Extended kit tonight in about an hour, with all fluids and filter change. easy job, and for now i just tied up the mid shifter out the way until i can get a new primary with no hole and remove it altogether
