what to do? new fatbob or update my fxdx
I guess I'll always be a dyna guy ... I like the power to weight ratio and the bang for $$$$. I could save some cash and do some engine mods ,hard bags and sport-semi batwing type fairing on my cv carb 2002 fxdx or get a new fat bob with the Memphis shade fairng ,and hard bags ... and just ride .yalls thoughts ? about money saved and having a 11 year old custom bike.

My FXDXT had done 20+ states and 6 provinces when I sold it to another member here. Still running great AFAIK...and I miss the performance and handling. but when you are 2000+ miles from home and have any little problem, it's not cool when the dealer says "What's that?"
The FXDF is todays distant second to the FXDX/T of 10 years ago; not the same bike by any stretch, though...suspension needs quite a bit of work, I had to add mid's to mine and it's definitely heavier. Having said all that; it's very dealer friendly when touring, feels more planted to the road with the fat front tire and the EFI is easy to get used to (and lazy with, by comparison to my sweet running CV51). So, feeling I had to have a more currant mount, I got a low-mile garage queen from my friendly dealer; the previous owner had spent $7G since he bought it and only put on about 2500 miles...his loss, my gain.
There will be upgrades this winter, though.....

Thanks for the input , I may change the trees to a "wide" set use the stock speedo/bar mount/ headlight and eyebrow. put a 16'' wheel/tire on the front this winter . what mods do I need to get about 90-100 hp from my tc 88? I'll get new motor mounts and the trutrac for it also. it has 27,000 k on it
