Fat bob recomended handle bars without cable work
Hey guys i just bought a couple months ago a 2013 fatbob. Im looking into changing my bars but having a hard time deciding which route to go. I love the drag bars but me being 6' i dont like being huntched over putting strain after a while. Not a big fan of apes, i love the drag bar look so im debating on just risers or bote the bullet and do a pull back bar plus having to re wire. Any help is greatly appreciated. Or opinions haha.
I put 2010 Wide Glide bars and Fat Bot Lo risers on my Fat Bob. I'm also 6', but I sit way back in the seat, so I do have to lean forward just a little.
When I switched to the FXDWG bars, because they curve upward, HD told me I'd need new cables. The height of the stock riser + the new bars = replacing everything. The current set-up is a touch higher than stock, but no so much I had to replace cables. The Fat Boy Lo risers were cheaper than the cables were and look really nice with the twin headlights.

The only issue is the clutch cable. Starting in 2011 HD decided to make the clutch cable shorter for some reason. The tallest riser extensions I was able to use with the stock cable was 1.5". You'll see the note on Jim's Harley Spacer web site
