Default Street Vibrations

I am tossing around the idea of going to the Fall Street Vibrations in Reno this year (if I get time off and such).
I have never been to any rally so I was wondering what to expect, extra plans I should expect, etc.
Thanks all

I used to live in Idaho, the ride is great, although I was younger then and would make a stop at the Miracle Mile in Winnemucca. Street Vibes is a blast. I go Spring and Fall (Fall is more fun). Easy to get a motel in Carson. Great rides in the surrounding areas, Carson Pass, Tahoe, and all of the Sierras down the 395. Let me know if you need more info.

Any places I should avoid? Any idea if the "VIP" package is worth it? I see it comes with some sort of parking permit, wondering if that will be useful.

Most that I know of don't register for the event. However if some of the entertainment or a poker run interests you it may be worth your while.
The Cat House Poker run put on by our local 81 club is fun.
The parking permit allows you to park on Virginia St. No big deal as there is plenty of parking in the garages.
Both dealerships have a lot going on. Carson always has some stunt riders.
Often Jason Pullen.

I'm in Reno and the event seemed a little less crowded this last year. Carson City seemed to have added more vendors and events, as well as VC. The riding around Tahoe and Reno to VC and then into Carson is nice. Overall I'd say it is a good rally to attend.
