Default Air intake

Hello everybody..I am working on getting some upgrades for my bike. I currently have the HD high flow air. What is a good air system for my 04 SG?

Any high flow air is going to be good air. The shape of the cleaner doesn't seem to make too big of a difference. Its all about the looks at that point.
Tons of threads on this as well, with lots of pictures to help you decide.
Good luck!

I vote DK Customs. I got their Outlaw HiFlow A/C and VIEDs from them and they were great to work with. Probably the fastest shipping I've ever seen too.

Love my HD Heavy Breather, but not everyone likes this style. I kept banging my inner knee on the Football; no issues with the H-B.

I chose this route. K&N publishes all of their dyno results on their webpage, probably have one specifically for your bike. I haven't seen one other bike with my intake. It looks great and is high quality. Other designs available, too.

I wonder why they show the dyno sheet for a specific bike and test, and then describe the increase as "estimated"? Was the increase real or not? There's some rather sketchy language going on there.

I'd sure like to witness them actually getting a 14% horsepower increase from just an air filter change!

Sure, if they started with a really dirty stock filter, and a clean K&N filter, maybe they could pull that off.

From the K&N website testimonials section:
"All I can say is most people won't believe this but then it's their loss...in miles per gallon that is. I Own 2 Harleys, a 1979 HD Sportster that several years ago I put a K&N air filter on and felt like it doubled it's performance"....

OK, the dude has feelings, but wouldn't it be better to stick to verifiable facts? Why would they even put junk like that on their website?
