Default Changing from VROD Muscle to Street Bob!

Well in 2010 I started out with a 2003 Sportie, then in 2011 I changed to a 2005 Road King Classic, then in 2012 I changed to a VROD Muscle. So after knee replacement and retirement I changed last week to a 2014 Street Bob! This one Ill be keeping for many years to come! So, being new to the Dyna Street Bob model, what if any improvements or changes do you all recommend? Im already considering different pipes, maybe different bars, but I dont know this frame yet and what makes a good thing better. Suggestions?

I am just under 5'10" and found I needed highway pegs to stretch out. I kept the mid controls because I like having options and it feels good for aggressive cornering.

Doesn't really need anything, but make it comfortable to you. Personally the stock set up has always felt good to me when riding my buddies. Better seat and slip-one for some sound are always nice. A million ways to go with looks too, but again it's pretty decent right of the showroom floor so just try what you like. Great bike. Simple and right. Enjoy it.

bars, pipes (stage 1 / preliminary dyno tune) were done as soon as I paid for it . . . seat and forwards right after (among other things) . . the seat and forwards helped as I was getting a serious pain in my hip and butt. I'm sure you will enjoy it. I like it because it's a no BS, lean and mean bike.

I just picked mine up in May and I rode mine bone stock for a week and then I couldn't take the pipes, or lack of, anymore, and went with new AC, tune, V&H Short Shots and Forward controls.

I still have to toss on my reduced reach conversion kit due to having legs like an oompa loompa apparently, lol.

Next are probably bars/grips and some new pegs.

In all honesty, these bikes are wicked right off the floor.

Enjoy your new bob!

I'm happy with mine just bone stock. Well, I did change the mufflers and slap on a few chrome thangs. They're cool right off the floor.

I also went from a V rod to a Street Bob. But it was that I had 46,000 miles on it and got tired of the high rpm and wanted to try something different. The bob is much easier to handle and as far as I am concerned, more fun. Love the cruising at 2600 RPM and its mauverablity. Wish I had ordered mid controls, because I am short, but have modified the seat and forward controls( reach) I am getting along fine. Its been one year and I have no complaints and even though it was very good to me, do not miss the V at all. My next may be a low rider with forward mid controls and dual front abs brakes.
