Short answer = yes...2-1 exhaust will add some low-end to your performance.

Well...it all depends on what you're expecting from your ride (performance wise)...

For me, I like the performance and looks of my 2-1 Bassani Road Rage on the Sportster, but prefer True Duals on my Street Glide (looks & sound). It's all in the eyes of the rider/owner. Search internet for sales on exhaust...always some kind of deals going on.

I don't think you will notice much of a change. I had a Street Glide with a Pro Pipe and then went to true duals. The dyno results were very similar. It's completely possible the person doing the tuning was not very good.

I was told by V&H rep that unless your building a high output engine then it will actually perform slightly worse, and by high output he said he means a complete rebuild not just minor work. But if planning to do that in the future then it would be an investment.

Well, that person sounds like a moron.

The ProPipe is great on a stocker. IIRC, there is a High Output version, THAT would suck on a stocker.

I have the ProPipe on my Dyna. Great pipe. I have a D&D on my FXR. Great pipe. So, is the ProPipe worth the money, IMHO, yes. So is the D&D, Bassani, etc.

Chase

Edit, I really don't think it's all that loud, especially against a D&D....

I love my pro pipe. Quiet deep idle, nice grunt with throttle twist and has a nice look. Can't for the life of me understand how some can think its too loud. Performance wise it is way better than a 2-2 in the low end and seems from dyno charts I have seen falls same at top as 2-2.
