Default Battery tender/maintainer amp question

I purchased this tender/maintainer, http://www.batterychargers.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductName=94026717CA
I noticed after purchasing the owner's manual recommends .75amps, does it hurt the battery that mine is 1.5amps? If I understand it right, it is a charger/maintainer so it goes into the maintain mode once charged, just don't want to hurt the battery at all if the amps is too high at 1.5. Thanks!

ETA- I did a search for any topics on this but didn't see any.

You should have no problems. 1.5 Amps is the max charge rate. The microprocessor controls the charge rate and will change to float rate when the battery is fully charged.

I regularly use a 2 Amp Battery Tender and it works the same way.

Default Bump to old thread.

So my local costco has these https://www.costco.com/Battery-Tende...100241973.html for 40 bucks. Does anyone know if the 3 amp would fry my battery or will it maintain without damage? Thanks in advance.

I have this model and have successfully used it on multiple bikes without issue.

That being said, the cable is shorter on the bike side and it regularly means I have to move the box around and Set it on the seats/etc to connect properly. I have no such issue with the common $20 battery tenders with a wall wart I leave plugged into the wall and then connect to the bike, because he standard cable is much longer than it is from the Costco model’s box to the battery. Total lemgth may be similar, but keep in mind the brain box is about midway in total length from plug to plug vs at the plug being at the outlet with cable out to battery from there on the standard unit for your personal use.

I would buy a standard battery tender and skip the CC model if I were to do it again.

I have one of these in my battery charging fleet! It's just more versatile than the one your looking at in my opinion.
This charger also has a Desulfation Mode!
