Battery Tender Question

Anyone use their Battery Tender (12V) to charge and maintain their automobile battery? Will it work on a car battery?

Should work on any 12VDC Lead Acid battery. Course both the size of the battery and the charge statewill affect how long it takes to go green.

Ya probably know this anyway, but just a caution...some tenders, though they can do their strict "tender" job on other big batteries/vehicles just fine... can not handle being hooked up to the batteryduring an attempted start of the vehicle when the battery is way discharged.Instead that battery condition needs a high amp jump or a boost from a smart charger that hasthe built in capacity to zap a discharged battery with a huge boostfor starting. I've seen a tender survive that wrong use but also have seen em fry.
