Rivco LED H4 Headlight Bulb
I ride a 2012 StreetGlide. The headlight sucks... On High beam it seems worst... I bought this replacement bulb on the advice of the parts guy at the Dealership.
I haven't installed it yet, hoping it puts out better than my stock bulb. Anyone out there have experience with the Rivco P/N LED-100 H4 LED headlight replacement bulb?

Not that particular LED bulb, but a lot of them are all built around the same base. The patent number is ZL201320551208.3. Most are fan cooled. Some have no fan, but have a ballast to get the heat away from the LED. Your looks like it has both. Or is that a ferrite choke?
I had a pair from a different mfg on my Roadglide. They gave me the best light that I have ever had on it, but they did not quite focus it well enough, tossing it high and wide. Still I could see much better, and I could have lived with them. Though I did go out and recently get a set of Daymakers. The only other issue I had is they tossed out a lot of RF interference to the radio. I solved it with installing a ferrite choke that I bought form Radio Shack.
I would say try them. If you don't like them perhaps the dealer would take them back, or you could sell them on CL.

Rivco LED H4 Headlight Bulb
benscratchin, I got that from my HD dealer, I was having trouble with stock blowing out on hi + I just didn't have enough light in the dark.
had it a few mo. now, have been on long trips always gets dark before we get to where we are going, (group riding) ever 1 says my light sure is bright. on high I can see the ground just in front of me (left-right) & in distance, I don't out run the distance light.
I run it on hi beam, hadn't been out with it solo ride. low beam I can't see the ground just down in front so, I like hi. (2010 XL1200C) (5 3/4 inch head light)
PS: I didn't put the rubber boot (cover) back in there or use the spring & any of those attachments. look at it after you install it make sure bulb is centered.

I won't use LED bulbs, especially for headlights. In the main those I have seen to date are much bigger than stock incandescent bulbs, which is why they don't focus properly in a stock reflector. That particular variety, with a large lump behind the reflector, may bump into the back of your headlamp housing. I went with Trucklights, which get around all the problems with separate bulbs.

Rivco Led-100 bulb problem
I have this replacement bulb on my 98 Heritage. It has worked well until yesterday. Riding home in the dark I knoticed hardly any head light. High beam was all over the place and not any better. Upon inspection, noticed the bulb had fallen back into the housing. When I pulled it out, discovered the plastic ring, and the bulb tabs that connect the two together had melted, resulting in the bulb falling out of the housing. This is a fairly recent purchase. Looks to me to be a design flaw, or else the fan failed to draw the heat away. Harley shop closed today, will see if they replace it.
melted spot was where the connecting tab used to be

Update: Bumpus Harley-Davidson wouldn't stand behind it (they recommended, and installed it) because the purchase was over 1 year old. Suggested I reach out to Revco, which I just sent an e-mail. We shall see............right now I'm out $75 bucks and don't have a headlight.
