Default Help deciphering trouble codes 2002 FLSTCI

I am getting trouble code 24.

24 is attached to a couple different issues all in the same area.

They are:
24 Front ignition coil open/low
24 Front ignition coil high/shorted
24 Front cylinder combustion intermittent
24 Front cylinder no combustion

My bike seems to run fine. No backfire. I can get up to 80mph. Once I pass 80 the check engine light will come on. Throwing only the 24 code. I already replaced the plugs. So the issue is either the plug wires, the coil or the something wrong with the front cylinder. I was hoping someone could offer some suggestions on how to narrow it down further. I would hate to replace the coil only to find out that it wasn't the issue. Any helpful replies would be greatly appreciated.

It will only get up to 80 mph? Or it will go faster but you get the failure code at 80. Not clear on this point. How does it run after it throws the code, the same or does it start to run rough or sluggish?

What you are describing sounds like a misfiring front cylinder firing system at high rpms.

I am thinking that either you have a plug wire breaking down or an ignition module failure at high rpms. Plug wires and plugs are cheap, ignition modules not so cheap. I would start with new HD plugs and new SE fat wires and go from there...

Not sure if it is the same with softails, but early twin cams in the touring class have been known to have the injector wires (especially the front) too sort. They break over time, but are covered up by the insulation so they are difficult to detect. Try doing a wiggle test while the bike is stationary and running.
