Default Starter issues

Anyone have an issue with an intermittent starter (motor turns when key is turned but the solenoid engages intermittently) after re-wiring their bike with an Ultima Electronic Wiring Harness #18-533? I replaced the battery and the starter...same problem. I think it's a connection issue but I want to rule out the electronic brain first before I start tearing apart my wiring harness chasing a gremlin. Any help would be appreciated.

Default Relay

You might check the starter relay and the ground to the starter and relay.

Thumbs up

I did. Bench checked the starter and it operated correctly. I think I am missing teeth on the ring gear due to the fact that the starter is engaging after I move the bike rear wheel in gear I also noticed that I have metal shavings on the magnetic pick-off and there is a grinding coming from the trainy area. I am going to pull off the cover and dig into this deeper. Thanks for the information.
