Default FRUSTRATED- Replaced LS Switch Pack - Same Result

So the wife’s Freewheeler wouldn’t start in gear with the clutch lever pulled. I replaced the switch pack with a new one from Ronnie’s and getting the same result. Everything else is working fine. Reverse, Hi-Lo beam, horn, turn signal, haven’t checked cruise control yet but it was working fine before. Looking for suggestions. I really need to get this resolved. She sometimes stalls it and usually struggles to find neutral to restart it. Not a good scenario in a busy intersection.

Factory levers?

Next try this, go for a ride and use cruise control, does pulling in the clutch kill the cruise? If it does then you know the switch is good. If not, lever or damaged/defective switch.

If you changed the levers, this is the problem.

Are you stepping on the brake or pulling on the brake lever while pulling in the clutch lever? Both need to happen to start a trike in gear, just saying.

The triglide requires you to apply the rear brake to start while in gear, I'm guessing the same is true for the freewheeler.

That’s it! Never knew that. This is just one of the reasons I love this forum. At least I have a spare switch pack now. Thanks guys!
