Default Cruse intermittent

I have finished my handlebar installation but have been having trouble with my cruse control. I had to re-align my ignition and extend my control wires so not sure what is causing the problem.
Both my gear display and cruse will come and go, they seem linked as when the gear display shows the gear I’m in the cruse will lock in but when the display disappears so does the cruse. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for your time.

Are you getting any codes?

If not it's likely something with the from brake switch or clutch switch. Either one will shut off the cruise.. Throttle roll-off will to but I suspect it will throw a code.

Might be an issue with the clutch/neutral start switch? I had to put a small shim between clutch lever & switch. IIRC cruise wouldn’t work and bike wouldn’t start in gear even with lever pulled. Happened after handlebar swap & hand control adjustments. I think there are a few threads on this.

Thanks, that may be a good start! My ride will not start in gear now also. I will check it out this week when I get some time.
