Default 95 or 100 in a tc 88

OK before anyone screams at me if I do that wrong im brand new to this site
I have a 2005 night train i’m installing Cr630i cams and worked heads it’s currently a 95 with 10.25 Pistons The cams needs between 10.25-11.0 my target compression it’s 10.8
my question is stick with the 95 or the s&s 4 inch bore which will make it a 100 without boring cases and will the pistons in that kit work with 2.02 intake valves . The quick answer is a 95 is tried and trued but I really have my hart set on a 4 in stroke and 4 in bore

Not sure about what would all work with what you have or want to do, but if it were me, I'd be all over that 4x4. Too hard to pass it up, even if a 98" is cheaper.

The valve reliefs will "probably" be fine, but checking with clay will insure TDC lift/valve size will clear.
If not, quick set-up in a piston vise/vertical mill to establish clearance as needed.

Our Wiseco 98" pistons will accommodate large TDC lifts, and up to 2.100" valves.

The 4X4 is what I should have done. After building a nice torque motor for my FLTR at 95" I was having a conversation with an engine builder and he remarked how he liked how square engines run. He had built one years ago and really like it. Well crap! I didn't know about the 4" bore cylinders and having a 100" motor would have been unique! Oh, well. Maybe next time!

I have that 100 inch kit sitting on the bench. The guide S&S gives is for stock heads, ported heads and their 89cc heads which have a 2 inch intake. Ive got some overtime comming in and plan on just going ahead with the s&s heads.

I'm running a 42 also. Stock heads I think its ok. Ported heads the carb may be lacking but maybe only a few HP. The mikuni flows well so it should work well enough for a 4 inch stroke anyway.
