Default ACR for M8

Looking for an easy, "hey you should know this" procedure, for Checking and maintenance on our Automatic Compression Releases. I'm not finding an quick way to see if they are actually working or not. I did notice on some other bikes, you can actually hear the sound of the air being "bled off" as it is being started. I don't hear that on mine. I used to hear a "tick or click" when turning on the ignition. But I can't remember hearing that for a while now.
So, anyone have a simple "check" for this, and is there any periodic maintenance required on them ?

The old manual CR's were good that way. I ran a compression test on mine with the ACR's working and got a representative reading. Both of my cylinders were 120 psi, but I have a cam so other bikes may be different. The main thing is the readings were quite low. I guess if you were getting lazy starts and believed your battery was good, you could do a compression test to check if one or both ACR's failed 'closed'. If they were to fail 'open' I suppose the bike would run poorly.
