58 mm throttle body might be really touchy in the lower RPMs for street manners. Not sure but I'm thinking that might be a little too much..

i dont think that the t/b will give issues as long as the bike is tuned well, i use the 55/58 HPI on mine 107TC and dont have issues. Sounds like a neat build, do you have a good tuner(person) and a good pipe, those will make it or break it!

Same shop that did my current build / tune is tuning it with my Direct Link license, stock heads on the current tune. This guy was recommended to me by Steve at GMR performance in Fort Worth , Texas.
Running a Fullsac DX head pipe with S&S GN slip-ons , have a 55 HPI on it , he just wants to be sure I'll get the most from doing the heads.
The HPI has about 3500 miles on it , he's gonna give me $300 credit for it. I know it would probably do a little better with a 2-1 pipe but don't really want to spend the money for the difference.
Hoping she's ready next week.

He's not even giving you 50 cents on the dollar wow.. I really don't think you're going to see that much of a gain on a 55 to 58 but you will see a good gain with Flo on the cylinder heads.. if the guy does a good job on them.. You're 55 is more than enough for that... Jmho...

It's that or send it back to HPI as a core, they won't sell you one with out a core , and HPI wouldn't give me anything for it so at least I'm getting something for it.

On a TBW bike, the throttle blade table tuning keeps the low rpm and progression in check, it’s not 1:1 with the twist grip sensor, the blade opening is limited until the extra flow of the larger TB can be utilized in the higher rpms.

Looking forward to the results. I think it’s a good plan, would be nice to have an SAE sheet next time.
