Cylinder dowel removal question

Got my bike apart for my new FM Heads and 107 kit. How do you remove the oil return dowels from the top of the cylinders without destroying them with a vice grips??

Why to you want to remove the dowels?

Yea just going to leave them in. New cylinders will come with them installed.
