Man those are common. Go to ebay and get a brass nipple and a puller kit. You will be back in business in no time.

Yep. Ordered brass one from CVP, along with rebuild kit, tuner kit, EZ Just, etc. 1996 carb, needs it anyway. Bottom of carb was damp, now I know why.

Put the brass one in the freezer overnight before you press it in. And have it pointed the right way when you do. Trust me.......

My tip is to take a dab of wheel bearing grease and stuff it down in the old nipple (after you break off the plastic bit) too catch the shavings when you tap the threads.

Thanks for the tips. Got the old one out with vice grips (I know), twisted it out but MAN that SOB was IN there. Better have a good grip.

Getting it torn down will get it cleaned and ready for the new parts. Needed to jet up anyway with the Big Sucker and open full length pipes. Carb has 175/44, going up to 180/46 to start and test from there.

Use a little Loctite on it as you press the new one back in. It presses in a little easier and provides a little extra sealant, however probably not needed. As mentioned, just make sure the direction of the nipple is correct. YD
