Does the FXR primary and tranny share the same oil? And how do I check and change them?

The primary drain plug is located at the bottom of your outter primary cover. You'll need an allen wrench to take it out.Once drained plug back in,& derby cover off.Have the bike upright & fill with crankcase oil.Just fill it to the bottom opening of your derby cover & your good.
Tranny drain plug is located under your bike,,,,,,I think it's a 3/4 bolt,,,could be larger. After draining & putting plug back in.Again bike needs to be up right.Tranny filler cap is located just behind your rear brake pedal on your tranny cover.remove & fill with Belray Gear Saver SAE 80W90.DO NOT OVER FILL!!!!!!!!!About 1 pint should do it.
I would recommend buying the service manual,,,,,,comes in quite handy.

Thing is I dont know if a stock FXR manual would be helpful, becuz my FXR was build with diff S&S and other after market parts. I'm new to this V-twin scene. So if it seems that my question may sound stupid, its just becuz I'm just not quite familiar with these yet..

If it's still an HD motor regardless of the aftermarket parts,,,,,the specs should not change when it comes to fluilds.
