How to tell if my CV carb is "jetted"?
Anyone know the stock jets for a '96 dyna?
How about what jetting "should it" be for stage 1?
Should I blow $150 for a dynojet kit?
My bike came with supertrapp slipons and screamn' eagle intake, I have no idea what the carb is set to. It does FOREVER before I can take the choke off before it runs right- makes me think it's a little lean.

The best thing to do w/a Dyno Jet kit is to leave it on the shelf.
Pull the float bowl, take out the jets and look at the numbers that are stamped on the jets. As a starting point (assuming everything else is stock in your engine) the idle jet should be a 45, your main jet should be a 180.
As to taking forever to warm up - that can indeed be indicative of a lean condition, and that condition could be caused by jetting, or it could be caused by a bit of a leak at the intake manifold seals.

As stated, start by looking at the stamped numbers on the jets.
A real easy way to make an educated guess is to also see if the soft metal plug that covers the air mixture screw has been removed. Its located on the bottom of the carb, closer to the intake side. This is usually a good indication of someone playing around with the carb
