i have had my 97 RK for a few months now. It left me on the side of the road twice. Once was the ignition which was an easy fix. Second time was the o-rings in the fuel lines. You guys pulled me through that(thanks IM) both failures in town. A few hundred local miles with no problems and I decided to hit the road. I will admit I was waiting for something to happen. Did the 400 miles up to Daytona for a few days of Bike Week. Rode up to Flagler for the Iron Butt lunch and about 100 local miles around Daytona. Came home on Saturday, another 400 miles and no problems. I gained a lot of confidence in my bike and it passed the distance test. 1000 miles in three days with no problems. I think I found a treasure. Glad you guys told me to just ride it, and quit fretting about what might break. I love this bike. Passed through 40,000 miles on this trip. Lots of life left.

IM & 1997bagger do know their stuff about the mm injection. Too often do we, myself included, suggest a fellow forum member to immediate carb covert. It is not a terrible suggestion but quick on the draw.
