So I'm out last night riding and my oil fill cap blew off and sprayed oil all over the wifes leg. I stopped. Cleaned up. Put the cap back on and it did it two more times. Any ideas WTH is the problem ? I was just normally cruising on the highway. Wasnt ******* on it or riding ***** to the wall.
It's a Harley brand plug. It has the logo and some harley shop addy from Wisconsin. I'll replace it with an after market and see if that help. Thanks a million once again guys !
Not sure what you are riding, but my '91 Sportster will do that if you overfill the tank. Using the "cold" line on the dipstick is a no-no, warm it up and then check the level. Otherwise warm it up and the dipstick becomes a projectile including a nice hot oil shower for you and the bike.
