I have had an on going problem with intermittent oil cap blowing off I guess from oil tank pressure. I ran a hose between both head breather's with a tee in the middle then one hose to vent both heads.
I cant find the crankcase breather that is said to be by the oil pump, looked everywhere for it and think my new S&S 111 engine does not have one..?? I have a diagram a guy sent me but I don't see a crank breather anywhere. My oil pressure is 35 lbs cold and drops to 30 lbs hot running dn the road.
Here is the diagram sent to me.
The Evos and sporty,s take certain style filter wrong one will cause excessive pressure and blow oil out of breather or your case the cap off of oil bag. Oem HD. One is 63796-77A and I found out the hard way on using aftermarket filters Good luck. Wild Bill
It can be as simple as the dipstick seal has gotten old, and doesn't have enough friction to stay in...many people add an o-ring to tighten things up when this happens.
