I put in a Barnett clutch years ago.
According to S&S Tech I spoke to what I have right now is good to go for the 111".

If I remember correctly it has the 3.21 first gear.
I don't know what the overall ratio is.

Congrats THC, your buddy's getting that engine for you at wholesale cost. Very cool! I'm sure you're gonna love it. It will certainly run smoother than an 89" Stroker, and probably be much more dependable. I absolutely love mine and have put about 9k trouble free miles on it over the past year. A great investment IMO, especially if you keep that motor for many years ... which I will do.

The stock starter works just fine with my 111" Turns over just as well as it did the stock worn out motor. You know they have compression release valves, right? That makes it a breeze.

FWIW, I'm running the stock trans with Barnett plates & heavy duty springs and all is well. And I can be pretty hard on it. It's not rare that I'll rev to 4k from a dead stop, drop the clutch and do a smoking burn-out, or from a 10mph roll and do a 3' wheelie on the FXR. Of course when money allows, I want to get the 6-speed baker.
