If you have the bolt why don't you just get a screw gauge plate and a ruler?

ya, it's been some time, but I am still looking for a part number to bolt size. I know it's in the later years, but not in my 84 to 84 FLT parts book. but I know after 86 I think it has it. a scan maybe?

This online parts book seems to have the size readily available depending on what you are looking for.

Just look up your bike and what bolt you are looking for and most have the sizes right next to the part number.

i would just take the bolts you need to replace to a hardware store and match them up.

About all you can do at this point is to do a process of elimination. Find a bolt that fits somewhere, then try to count how many you need to find. Separate them by size, and keep them that way. Use them on the bike, untightened. Eventually there won't be many more to go. Patience grasshopper. You earned this one.
