Default More winter ideas-chrome

Each winter I have a project to improve the bike, she is a very expensive lady. One of my ideas is to change the polished engine covers to chrome. Priced these at my local HD dealership and know these are probably the best, especially the rocker boxes. My question are there alternatives or am I better off paying the extra at HD?

Thanks,

David

Don't remember what you are riding, but I have a FULL set from my '98 FLTR.

When I did that most of the stuff was easy enough. Now changing the cam cover became another story.

With the bushing in it and it needing to be sized and aligned with the case it became a PIA to do it exactly as prescribed as per manual.

Do some searches on the subject, might surprise ya on the recommendations that can be made.

Gonna send ya a PM while I'm thinking about it.
