looking at a 97 ST Evo... Thoughts?
I'm thinking of getting a 97 Softail at I think a fair price...
Looking for some input on what to look for and what a "good deal" would be,
Hopefully you guys can help out!..

Pics show it in pretty nice condition...

-Custom Chameleon Paint
-S+S Carb (have original as well)
-Primo Rivera Clutch (plates recent) 2k
-V+H Pipes Big Shots (also have original)
-Starter less than 500mi
-New Battery
-3 seats (mustang dual / HD original dual / corbin single)
-Evo 27 cam + pistons (have originals as well)
-Rear brakes / primary belt less than 800 miles
-Primo Belt Drive
-Screamin Eagle Ignition
-Avon Tires
-Have original cam/pistons/carb/pipes/mufflers/misc.

Nothing really jumps out as a major issue with a 97. Base gasket leaks maybe but you said it has motor work so shouldn't be an issue.... Should run real well. Whats the asking price and Pics? Not a big fan of Primo belt drives... Ask for the original primary setup with the purchase and why was it replaced?

Use kbb and nadaguides to get values and see for yourself. You can also look at completed auctions.
As far as that particular bike - it looks like it's low miles, high quality parts and probably some degree of pride of ownership. Pics say it all. If it's a big "ride to live" banner or something like that, pass. If it's tastefully done - it's possibly a great bike.

I have bought some really nice EVO's that I had to de-"live to ride"
