Default Cam question

Right now my bike is stock with a Arlen Ness big sucker.
I picked up a brand new set Rinehart's 3" or 3 1/2" ( where is it measured from?) slip ons cheap and would like to put these on but don't want to tune it twice so I would like to see about what cam in it.
I don't plan on doing any other motor work to it and I'm not a hot rodder either.
I need some recommendations?

the EV 27 is the best bang for the buck - bolt in lots of in the spot you drive power all the time

Yup, the EV 27 is a great cam. Nice low end, smooth power throughout the range, decent mileage.

EV27 or EV13, depending on your style of riding, load, etc.

Don't forget Torrington bearing.

If you have a touring bike and take a passenger, EV13 cam is great. Lots of low-end and does not seem to run out of chuff at higher rpm. Very happy with the one in my RK.

I had a recommendation of a 510 can, can anyone explain that?
I got a call from the Indy that my base gasket blew out so I was asking about cams. I do not plan on doing any other motor work to it so I wanted to compare that to the EV 27 that you guys recommended.

Be sure your indy uses a leakproof rubber impregnated steel gasket. They last.

Indi thinks I need a minor rebuild saying the wrist pin was ready to go.
What would cause the motor to try and throw the wrist pin?

Going stop by later so he can show me. Grr didn't need this right now.

Sounds suspicious but it's a Harley.
