Cam question
If that's the rear piston you might be losing one side of the rod bearing. That make them want to push the wrist pin out of the side of the piston like that.
It's both that it happened too, The first picture is the front piston and the second is the rear.
I am having him put an S & S oil pump in it and changing the lifters out while doing a cam and Torrington bearing, since there is a lifter tick and it has gotten louder.
I asked about the cam and he recommended a 510 but I told him I was recommended the EV27 what's the difference?

The ev27 will come on a little sooner than the 510. The 510 cam is a midrange to upper end of the rpm zone and does like a little more compression... Stick with the 27 unless your laid back kinda just a cruiser guy then the ev13 would be a very good choice as well....
