Thanks for the replies! Sure do miss it around here. But, here's the deal. The tire isn't for my old TourGlide, that's long gone. I sold it a year and a half ago because I just couldn't get on it, and if I did, I couldn't control it stopping and starting and low speeds. I have a herniated disc that pushing on the nerves to my right leg. I've had multiple injections, which did nothing. My TourGlide is sorely missed, but I'm worse now than I was 1 1/2 years ago. The tire is for my scooter. Dunlop doesn't make 10" or 12" inch tires, which is why it's not on the list. The manufacturers on the list make my tires, and another is Kenda, but I don't think they make tires for bigger bikes, so I excluded it. I know different tread patterns wear differently, but manufacturers generally use the same rubber compound in all their bike tires, and that's what I was shooting for. Scooter forums are agonizingly slow boards, which is why I came to you guys.
Anyway, nice chatting with you all, I guess I'll just have to let my wallet decide what's best. I think Bridgestone would be my best option (for unknown reasons!), but it's the most expensive, so I probably won't be getting it. Maybe Metzler. Happy riding!

FWIW I have heard good things about Shinko tires.

The Shinko 777 is a smooth riding tire and holds good in the curves. The problem is it's a low milage tire. I just changed my rear tire at 6000 miles, it was nearly bald.

No they aren't...not even close.
The Elite series is so much better than the 400 series tire that there just isn't a comparison.

I used Kenda's on a couple of metrics. Ran one set 6k before I sold the bike, but that's the longest. Had a lot of life left. They were so cheap, I wasn't all that concerned about longevity. I run Metzler 888s on the Harleys, and once put 17k on a rear.

Apples and oranges. We were talking about OEM tires, the 400 series, NOT the E3.

My mistake..
I thought you were saying that there was no difference between the Elite series and the 400 series Dunlops.
