Nice bike Kramer Krazy!

I wonder if Dublin ever bought this bike? Doesn't look like he's been back since June.

Do yourself a favor.....BUY THE BIKE...........They have character and a personality all there own. As far as the battery issue, I put my problem to rest by buying one of those ODESSEY glass mat technology batteries. You can't kill it. I love the hell out of my EVO and since I'm a ole grey beard it makes a good match.

That mainshaft leak is an easy fix-supernut and red RTV behind the super nut in the shaft splines-no more leaks. $4k is a great price-I just picked up an 89 for $4k with a strong motor and tranny. Just needed a new stator and regulator. Took me an afternoon to fix.

I see this is an old thread. It is amazing what people that know nothing about early Evo's and 4 speeds will say (like that "mechanic"). So, new GF, new mechanic and he's good to go. I doubt he bought it or he'd a been back. Probably a victim of "Ya snooze, ya lose" on the deal, or that "mechanic" bought the bike and already resold it.

Default late to the party

I hope you bought it. How did it work out? Do you still have the bike?

2 posts and never came back,I sure would have bought that bike if it was as nice as he says, they didn't make many of those either with the FXR Superglide II having come out a few years before and with the Evo in early '84.
I had an early '84 FXRS one of the first Evos made, should have kept it!
