Default Museum Pieces?

The new New England Motorcycle Museum has announced their grand opening date -- April 21, 2018. I'm looking forward to checking this place out. Billed as the 'largest motorcycle museum on the East coast', it's located a little less than an hour away from me. I wonder if Evos will qualify as 'museum pieces'.

I've read somewhere that our Evo's are "museum pieces." Oh, I remember, it was here:
http://www.jamesrussellpublishing.bi...buyharley.html

To spare you having to read the author's entire screed, I quote the relevant passage below:

"I often get inquires asking that if the Twin-Cam Harley-Davidson engines are defective if the older EVO (Big-Twin Evolution) engine should be bought. My answer is a big "NO" as that engine is defective too and unreliable and that is one reason why Harley-Davidson junked the thing and created the Twin-Cam engine. The Evo crankshaft can fail, the valve angles are so severe the push rods bend, etc. That engine is history so leave it be."

WTF?!?!?!?

Evo owners should qualify for reduced entry fees, due to visiting on a 'classic' vehicle!

A friend and I met up at the National Motorcycle Museum in Anamosa, Iowa a few years ago. As I recall, they had one Evo on display...an FXR that had been owned by some woman who put over 300k miles on it or something like that. It was a well-worn machine.

My first real bike was a 54 triumph ridged. 500 cc I put the 650 bonny engine on it. it was a farmers basket case I stripped and built at age 13 yrs old.
