Most the time i see "EVO" I just presume it is a swing arm.

Yes all softails have swingarms/all harlys have swingarms, but yours did i guess-3rd link-rubber mounts on engine etc, but softails dont have rubber mounted engines, but they do have swingarms..

Factory Service Manual

Something like a haynes manual is no substitute.

The FSM will answer many questions.

Another useful source of info is a parts website, from which we can see that your stock belt is:

# 40017-94 130T

Harley themselves use a variety of lengths on different models and, assuming your bike has the original 1 1/2" wide belt, there is a Touring model:

# 40023-86 132T, used on some International bikes.

As for aftermarket, avoid all cheap brands. I believe Gates make the H-D belts, but hopefully someone else can chip in and confirm if that is right. I've only ever used genuine branded H-D ones.

have had a 34 t trans sprocket on both my evos (rubber mount and softail) for ten or so years with the stock belt and no problem---yeah I like to cruise on the interstate at a high rate o speed when I have to use the slab---no rubbing the stock chrome guards--most of the time ya have to be running 50 mph in order to use 5th gear

another avenue to the same desired effect/

70 or 65 or 61 tooth rear pully.I have a 93 with the 61 rear..

the low ratio of the first gear on a 5 speed takes it with no effort.. and pulls it down the highway in 5th like a champ.. I run usually 70-80 highway speeds with 85-90 depending my mood for a ways.. wont quote my exact rpms at 80 Ive done this long enough ago I stoppedlooking but if I remember right I was at** 3000 rpm just shy of 80 MPH.. just had triple bypass and not riding for a couple months or I would go down and confirm.( I know you math wizards will either confirm or start a war) but my memory isn't the best, but it usually serves me well..

( by the way, I don't have a * cable driven Speedo and my tach is coupled to my ignition, so everything is pretty damned accurate I have a GPS speedo it will tell me in digital too, besides normal readout if it tells me im ( in digital) at 75.6 mph I know im damn near dead on
