evotrike. I just pulled mine on my 1995 RK because it was lose. It comes right off. No need to remove anything. May be different on a Ultra. I did remove the dip stick and put a rag in the hole. My luck the screw would have fell into oil tank. Should have done it sooner. Hole was wallowed out from rattling around. I used weather strip adhesive to glue a washer to the inside of cover. Then used a washer on the under side of head on screw because hole was so wallowed out. Temporary fix until I can get a new cover. I also have done what EVOrider said. Have added starter button to end of solenoid.
